Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to traditional music, boleros from the past as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys opera, tangos and any form of dramatic performance. Ana began learning and singing musical instruments with her mother she began her more intensive training in singing at the age of sixteen with world-renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities, both as a scholar and professional. In 2000, she emigrated to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she re-located to her present home in Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer in classic Latin American music at private performances. She has been involved in many local organizations, both as performer and teacher, because of her love for art and music. Ana is also a previous singer in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her love and passion of old-fashioned Latin American songs with others as she hopes to instill a sense of to, particularly in the younger age group, to help keep this tradition of music lively and alive.Viva Mexico!
